During the pandemic, more schools and companies utilize the online working environment, requiring people to sit in front of computers for an extended time. Sedentary behaviors have wide-ranging adverse impacts on the human body including increased chances of dementia, depression, anxiety; and musculoskeletal disorders such as arthralgia and osteoporosis.
Our team is trying to find out that:
How can an interactive artifact remind people of the importance of health and to encourage them to exercise more when working from home and during the pandemic time?
Common Problem
All states and territories have more than 15% of adults who were physically inactive, and this estimate ranged from 17.3 to 47.7%, according to new state maps of adult physical inactivity prevalence released today by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
With Covid’s impact on the world, the rate will rise because people started to work from home and students only have online classes.

Target Group Interview
10 students
80% of the participants complain of sitting too long. Their work and study environment require sitting for long period of time.
70% of the participants say that they will ignore digital notification when working. Participants do not like to respond to system notifications, and some even blocked notifications because they receive lots of annoying messages from different applications in a day.
